Board Goals 2024-2025
Board goals constitute a professional development improvement plan directed towards increasing knowledge and skills in policy making and governance for members of the Board.
Gain an understanding of community objections to the previous referendum and use that information to reevaluate/ implement a plan to best meet the long-range facilities, safety, and infrastructure district needs.
Support, monitor, and communicate the progress of the district’s five-year strategic plan.
Successfully negotiate with the Mountain Lakes Board of Education a successor agreement to the district’s send/receive contract as soon as possible.
Complete the remaining steps to earn NJSBA’s Board Certification award.
Provide the superintendent with the support needed for a successful transition.
Plan for and initiate negotiations with the BTEA to reach a successor agreement.
District Goals 2024-2025
The Board adopts district-wide goals and performance measures that reflect that highest priority is given to student achievement.
To strengthen RVS’s school community engagement and relationships by providing opportunities to listen to and understand stakeholder needs and strengths.
To create an educational environment that utilizes data, informs curriculum alignment and targeted interventions/ supports needed for all students to demonstrate growth in pursuit of their full potential.
Foster a safe and welcoming inclusive school that promotes student curiosity and leadership while reflecting values of community in an increasingly diverse world.
Board of Education Meeting Dates: The regular session meetings of the Boonton Township Board of Education are held in the Rockaway Valley School Library/Media Center (unless otherwise noted), located at 11 Valley Road, Boonton Township, New Jersey. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noted). The meeting start time is 7:30pm (unless otherwise noted).
