School Supplies

Kindergarten

For September your child will need to bring in:

  • a backpack and lunch box labeled with their name

  • a healthy snack and lunch each day

  • a labeled water bottle

  • a change of clothes to be kept at school (shirt, pants/shorts, socks and 2 pairs of underwear)

Other school supplies will be provided on the first day of school.

1st Grade

First Grade Supplies (Mrs. Allen/Mr. Spender/Ms. Shaw):

  • 1 dozen Ticonderoga pencils (sharpened) 

  • 1 package 24 crayola crayons

  • 1 folder (any design)

  • 2 glue sticks

  • 2 highlighters

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • 1 hard pencil case (our desks are not deep)

  • 1 box of 8 washable markers

Please send in a regular size backpack. Students also need a lunchbox to hold snack & lunch and water bottle to use throughout the day. 

2nd Grade

  • 1 composition book (like the marble covered ones)  

  • 2 Yellow Highlighters   

  • 5 one-gallon zip lock bags

A 1-inch (no larger because it won't fit in the desk) 3 ring binder with a view pocket in the front to insert a title page.

A pencil box or zipper pouch no larger than 8 5/5 x 5 3/4 x2 1/2.

3rd Grade

  • 1 box of thin washable markers

  • 1 box of dry erase markers (thin or thick)

  • 1 dry erase eraser

  • 1 box of crayons (24)

  • 2 highlighters

  • 1 pencil case

  • small pencil sharpener

4th Grade

  • 6 erasable pens

  • 1 jumbo book sock

  • 1 single gallon-sized ziplock bag

  • home folder

  • large pencil pouch with zipper

  • 1 box of sharpened pencils

5th Grade

The majority of school supplies will be taken care of by the school.  In addition to what will be supplied, your student will need:

  • Mrs. Scivetti (Language Arts):  pencils, a blue folder

  • Mrs. Esposito (Math): pencils (20 sharpened), correcting pen (any color except black) and a red folder

  • Ms. Ennis (Science): 

    • Pencils (no pens for assignments)

    • Correcting Pens (any color other than black)

    • Highlighters (any colors)

    • Duct tape for covering textbook (keep at home to cover textbook)

  • Mrs. Rothacker (Social Studies):  3-hole binder paper, pencils

  • Mrs. Pop:  click the link for Spanish Supplies (4th-6th)

  • Mrs. Scarfone (resource room):  at least 3 highlighters (3 colors), pens, pencils (not mechanical), reinforced loose-leaf paper, pencil tops or erasers, earbuds or headphones, math section in your binder (with a divider) - please no notebooks

  • Mrs. Fudala (Health): 1 folder

  • for Band:  instrument (your own, rental, loaned from school) and Sound Innovations Book 1 (Blue)

6th Grade

  • Mrs. Gemma (Language Arts): a few sharpened pencils

  • Mrs. Flaherty (Math): pencil case containing 10+ sharpened pencils or mechanical pencils, 1 eraser, 4 expo markers, 1 expo eraser, 2 highlighters (different colors)

    • Pencils (no pens for assignments)

    • Correcting Pens (any color other than black)

7th Grade

  • Mr. Monaco (Math):  Students need pencils, a calculator, a math notebook section, and a highlighter.

  • Mrs. Lehman (Language Arts):  Composition notebook, 3 ring binder, 2 highlighters, pencils

  • Mr. Guardino (science) 2-3 pencils, one highlighter,  one dry erase marker  one two-pocket/3-hole punched folder for science only,  and one 2" or larger 3-ring binder with approximately 50 sheets of paper inside. 

  • Mrs. Toles (Spanish):  a few packs of flashcards, a marble composition notebook, scissors, colored pencils and/or crayons, a highlighter.

  • Mrs. Scarfone (resource room): at least 3 highlighters (3 colors), pens, pencils (not mechanical), reinforced loose-leaf paper, pencil tops or erasers, earbuds or headphones

  • for band:  instrument (your own, rental, loaned from school) and Sound Innovations Book 1 (Red)

8th Grade

  • Mrs. Mongon (Language Arts):  post-it notes, one notebook, index cards.

  • Mrs. Savage (Math):  Several sharpened pencils (at all times), at least two good erasers, one or two pens, one highlighter, one two-pocket/3-hole punched folder dedicated to math, one or two expo markers, one 2" or larger 3-ring binder dedicated to math and a composition notebook

  • Mr. Guardinao (science):  2-3 pencils, one highlighter,  one dry erase marker  one two-pocket/3-hole punched folder for science only,  and one 2" or larger 3-ring binder with approximately 50 sheets of paper inside. 

  •  Mrs. Toles (Spanish):  a few packs of flashcards, a marble composition notebook, scissors, colored pencils and/or crayons, a highlighter.

  • Mrs. Klesitz LA resource room: pencils, blue or black pens
